No need to use a liner, however you can if required, ideally just use some rocks, broken pots etc in the base of the planter and then add your growing media and compost on the top before plating up. This is ideal for the correct drainage and prevent root rot.

My extra large plus planter has just arrived, and it’s great. It’s well made, and all put together – no flat pack nightmare with this! I’m now looking forward to planting it up, and will also be fitting some castors to the bottom.
