Cracked Wood – This is perfectly normal and will continue to happen.
Please see images below for example.
If a really bad shocking split/crack was to happen we would of course send a replacement part out free of charge or exchange, this rarely happens, sometimes on a knot. These cracks are not structural.
The mould – again this is normal and always happens from new, the green and black unfortunately happens on all tanilised/pressure treated wood products, it really is normal. It happens until the pressure treatment is dry and happens more when we wrap/box  for the transport and the air is restricted. If you put outside in the natural elements the rain and the heat will wash and clean the planters within a couple of weeks. Or they just can be washed to clean, just water is fine. This is an issue that all wood manufactures have.
For information – for future aftercare, this is not required due to being tanilised but is an option, please just apply a water based wood stain (colour of your choice), you can purchase from any good DIY store. Wash your planters down with some soapy water, rinse off, no need to sand (however you can give a gentle sand if necessary) and then just slosh the stain on with a rag or brush, it takes minutes to do. Ideally do this before a hot summer and again before the winter especially if keeping outside. If you do this your product will remain looking new and fresh.
