This year 2022 sees the Platinum Jubilee of Queen Elizabeth II and her achievement of 70 years of service to the country since her accession to the throne on the 6th February 1952. Her Majesty will be the first monarch of this country to celebrate a Platinum Jubilee!

The Jubilee will be celebrated all over the country, with street parties, performances, the search for a new platinum pudding competition and an extra bank holiday incorporated into the bank holiday weekend, placed on the Friday 3rd June, giving the most of us a lovely long weekend – fingers crossed on the Great British weather!!
