Environmentally Responsible

Peter Smith Garden Furniture take the impact on the environment very seriously; they only buy from FSC registered sawmills where the Swedish Red Wood is cultivated in a strictly manage way. For every felled tree another is replanted, ensuring forests continue to flourish for decades to come.

The raw wood is transported over land and sea (not air), from Sweden to the factory in Yorkshire. Very little waste is produced during the manufacturing process, any produced is used in a self sufficient heating system for the factory, even the shavings are dust extracted, bagged and used by the pet industry for quality bedding.

All stains and paints are water based, ensuring no harmful chemicals disturb the environment or the delicate balance of wildlife.

Peter Smith Rustic Range

Development never stops, design and new products are always at our forefront.
This year we have launched a new Rustic Bench, called the Duo. This is a fantastic addition to the range and is similar to the top selling Peter Smith Alcove Seat, however is straight rather than angled to suit individual requirements.
Other improvements are as follows, new improved arms, completely flat packed and a range of cushions and stain is available (rich golden satin water based stain). Please see our garden Accessory menu.
As ever they are of traditional design, manufactured in a very modern way, hand crafted in Bradford, Yorkshire. The rounded line style is for extreme comfort and provides a fantastic look and of course totally FSC approved. They are still our number best seller and will continue to be for years to come.
Therefore the rustic range of Peter Smith is now complete with a 4ft bench, 5ft bench, alcove and Rustic Duo.

Peter Smith Moorland Range

Very good garden furniture, made by the same family run business for almost 50 years. Ten year guarantee!
This range is suitable for commercial use, many hotels, restaurants, sports facilities, schools and professional business’s use across the United Kingdom. All the wood is pressure treated in a very special manor which then gives each Peter Smith Moorland piece of wooden garden furniture a life expected of a minimum of ten years.
The furniture comes flat packed, designed for durability and is very easily assembled, made by craftsmen in Yorkshire. As the products are tanilised the maintenance required is minimal.
Further improvements are improved construction, the recliners come complete with cushions, the picnic table comes with 40mm thick wood and the A frame bench has fold up seats. The dining chairs have new 28mm thick seat boards.

This year the range has been improved, continuing product development has taken Peter Smith Garden Furniture to the next level, striving in unique top quality garden furniture. Nothing comes close to this range, only the best will do.
Product developments include the following, all is now flat packed and very easy to assemble. Totally manufactured from FSC timber and treated in a water based stain. Rich satin in colour. Each product is hand made in Bradford, Yorkshire.
The wooden picnic tables include fold up seats, half notched legs, 40mm thick finished wood and of course rebated fastenings. The pergola has a higher back design with optional bench cushions. The recliners, both straight and alcove has an enhanced arm.

Peter Smith Bird Tables

Only quality within this range of bird table, unique in design, build, looks and colours. A fantastic bird care range for you or for a loved one, the ideal present.
50 years of experience has been put into our range, FSC wood and the coloured stains are water based and bird friendly. Available in Peppermint Green, Parsonage Cream and Rich Golden Stain all have had four coats each before they reach the consumer. Wooden pitched roofs or natural slate, feeding surfaces with drainage facility, for very simple cleaning. Also available are decorative finial on the Grassmere range, absolute sensational.
Integral peanut feeders and solid wood feeding trays, along with three legged rustic round stand (will sit evenly on the majority of garden surfaces) for the Verwood, Sheringham, Denby bird tables.
The Rydale is the top of the range and well worth the extra spend. Also check out the two available Dovecotes (White or Rich Golden Stain) which are stunning pieces of architecture. Each has 6 separate lofts, fully functional to take a pair of doves each. To clean the roof removes very easily.
